SNAPSHOT OF SERVANT DOLLARS AT WORK

In the first seven years, "The People's Servant" has provided service throughout Dallas County. The proceeds from our sponsors and other donations go to assist Dallas county residents with heavier concentrations specifically to the residents of the 75115, 75116, 75216, 75232, 75241, and 75146 zip codes.

Aside from the Living Legends and Scholarship Gala, some of the endeavors we have provided and supported over the years include: 

• FREE Summer Camps making learning fun, with a heavy focus on STEM classes and the Arts. We provide camp Tshirts, daily meals (including snacks), mentorship, and field trips including the Perot Museum, US Mint and other points of interest and learning.

• Scholarships to high school students who are involved with their school, community, and church.

• Motivational/mentoring programs in the form of “pep rallies” and lunches for students who perform at or above the STAAR and other benchmark tests at South Oak Cliff High School, Boude Storey Middle, Kennedy Curry Middle School, Wilmer Hutchins High School, and DeSoto High School. 

• College tours for the local schools in our area including Paul Quinn, UNT–Dallas, and Dallas Colleges. 

• Rental/mortgage and utility assistance. 

• Assisted COVID-19 vaccine clinics in the southern sector by partnering with local community businesses and churches through sponsoring gift cards, turkey giveaways, Six Flags tickets and State Fair of Texas tickets to gain community participation. 

• Food distribution and turkey giveaways at Thanksgiving and Christmas. 

These are just a few of the activities and programs we have provided throughout the community. And with your help, we can continue to do the same and much more!
